“Initiate by Demand” applies to the situation where a preexisting agreement to arbitrate is in place, and one of the parties to the agreement demands that a dispute that has arisen be arbitrated. “Initiate by Submission” applies to the situation where no preexisting agreement to arbitrate a dispute is in place, but a dispute has arisen, and all parties to the dispute now agree that the dispute will be resolved by arbitration.
To initiate an arbitration, you select the appropriate form from the options below. You then complete the form and submit it to New Jersey Arbitrations Inc. with the administration fee. Our
Arbitration Fees page specifies the administration fee.
- I want to file a Demand for Arbitration. All parties have signed agreements that New Jersey Arbitrations Inc. will arbitrate disputes between them, OR the court has Ordered that New Jersey Arbitrations Inc. manage the arbitration of this dispute.
- I want to file a Submission for Arbitration. All parties have agreed that New Jersey Arbitrations Inc. will manage arbitration of this dispute.
- Note: If no signed agreement between the parties exists, it is not too late. Even if court litigation has already begun, you and the other side can sign an agreement for the dispute to be removed from court and placed into arbitration. It is not difficult. And the court would welcome such an agreement!
